At this time, Dr. Petursson accepts the insurances listed below. Dr. Petursson is not able to accept Medicare or Medicaid presently. Clients are encouraged to contact their insurance company to confirm that Dr. Petursson is able to accept their exact insurance plan prior to starting therapy. Clients may have a copay, and if so, that copay will be due at the time of the appointment.

Fees
- A typical session is $200 per hour, with some variability for intakes, ADHD evaluations, late cancellations fees, etc.
Should you choose to attend therapy out-of-network, Dr. Petursson is happy to supply a superbill to submit to your insurance company. Dr. Petursson also accepts self-pay clients. Fees vary by service, with the most common session being the follow-up therapy appointment which is $200 per hour. Sliding scale fees may be discussed upon request.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to be provided with a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) at the onset of therapy. This is an estimate for the cost of non-emergency, self-pay, or uninsured services, which includes therapy and assessments. The GFE is to meant to inform you of potential costs of therapy and similar services and to limit any surprise bills. A dispute process is available if the final bill is over $400 more than the amount provided on the GFE. For more information, please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Late Cancellation and No-Show Policy
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please contact Dr. Petursson to cancel or reschedule. For any appointments that are missed without contacting Dr. Petursson or are cancelled with less than 24-hour notice, a $75 fee will be automatically charged to the credit card on file.
